Our values include social justice, inclusivity, and compassion.

It is our intention to provide care with open arms to ALL people–rich, poor, brown, white, men, women, children, teens, gay, straight, trans, and anyone else who may feel in some way other or marginalized.

All Families Healthcare is a primary care clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered healthcare in an environment that is warm and inclusive.

We believe sexual and reproductive health are integral to human health, and as such are indivisible from primary care.

Our vision is that by providing care that includes the means to choose the number and timing of one’s children, we will improve the wellbeing of individuals and families in our communities.

Located in the Flathead Valley, we serve Kalispell, Whitefish, Polson, Eureka, Columbia Falls, Lakeside, Libby, Bigfork, Browning, Babb, Montana and everywhere in between!

Helen Weems, MSN, RN, APRN

Helen is grateful to be a Nurse Practitioner and for the opportunity to serve others. She came to nursing via environmental science and sociology. As a college student, living with subsistence farmers in Costa Rica, she realized the clearest path to social, environmental and reproductive justice was helping people choose if and when they want to parent. She has been rewarded by that work ever since.

In her 20 years since graduation from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, she has worked in school based clinics, Healthcare for the Homeless, Planned Parenthood, and family practice. She is the proud founder and director of All Families Healthcare, a small clinic in Whitefish Montana, which fully integrates contraception, abortion, and sexual health into primary care. Helen enjoys good food and playing in the great outdoors with her family and dog.

Paige Rappleye, Office Manager

Paige finds it one of her great honors to be the first contact that patients have when they reach out to All Families Healthcare. She is the lone, non-medical staff at the clinic. Paige has spent most of her professional career helping people. She was a nanny while her children were young then a part-time special education para-professional for Kalispell Public Schools for a number of years. She transitioned to the non-profit sector both as a volunteer with the Montana Pride Foundation and shortly after with Love Lives Here. It was her years in human rights work where she and Helen Weems crossed paths. Paige was looking for something more steady and Helen needed someone with Paige’s skillset.

Paige lives in Kalispell with her family and dog. She still volunteers as part of the Pride Foundation Montana Advisory Council as well as with local politics and her daughter’s PTO. She enjoys crafting, music, cooking, vintage clothing and helping Trans & queer homeless youth.

Our story

Our story begins with our pioneering foremother, Susan Cahill. Susan provided primary care and abortion services in the Flathead Valley for nearly 40 years, until her clinic, the original All Families Healthcare, was destroyed by an anti-choice zealot. The destruction of her clinic left NW Montana without a single abortion provider. Women seeking abortion were forced to drive hundreds of miles. Such a trip, with its associated time and expense, made the choice an impossibility for many women.

Helen Weems, a family nurse practitioner, moved to Montana and opened the new All Families Healthcare with the goal of carrying on Susan’s legacy and satisfying some of the unmet reproductive healthcare needs in our region. To that end, the present All Families Healthcare is a family practice with fully integrated access to contraception, abortion, adolescent and trans healthcare services.

Helen is fighting a battle to expand access to safe abortion on the legal front, as well. Before her, Susan successfully challenged a state law that prevented physician assistants from providing abortion in Montana. Represented by the Montana ACLU and the Center for Reproductive Rights, Helen hopes to carry that legal reform one step further to include all advanced practice clinicians, including nurse practitioners and nurse midwives. The court has granted Helen a temporary injunction, which allows her to provide abortion until the case is resolved.

All Families seeks to expand access to safe and compassionate reproductive healthcare by contributing to the training of our next generation of medical providers. We work with residency and fellowship programs to provide needed training in abortion care.

We are proud of our story and proud of our small contribution to the work of so many who fight to protect our access to safe, legal reproductive choice.
